Booking conditions

Booking conditions

All bookings and payments are to be made via the web site. As you complete the booking you will receive a confirmation with a booking reference number which constitutes your agreement with Igloo Åre. Here you will find the details of your booking and the conditions that apply. It is your responsibility to check that the confirmation matches your booking.

Payment

In order to confirm your booking you have to state you credit card details. In this, the entire sum of your booking will be charged to your account or credit card at the point of purchase.  Payment can be made by credit or charge card via Visa and Mastercard. Please note that all payments shall be made in SEK (Swedish Kronor).

Please make sure to state your unique booking reference number, so that we can match your payment with your booking.


NB. It is not possible to make preliminary bookings on the web site.

You cannot use gift vouchers for payment on the web site. If you have a gift voucher, please contact our booking service.

Cancellations 

Cancellations up to 14 days from the date of booking incur no costs, just call our booking service. Applicable to bookings made more than 30 days prior to arrival.

Cancellations made 15 or more days after the date of booking and up to 46 days prior to the arrival date will result in a refund of 75 % of the amount of the booking.

Cancellations made between 45 days and 15 days prior to the arrival date, will result in a refund of 25 % of the amount of the booking.

Cancellations made 14 days or less prior to the arrival date will not result in any refund. 

Cancellation insurance

The insurance cover can only be purchased at the point of booking, at a cost of 350 SEK per booking. The cover includes all the persons named in the booking. Claims against cancellation insurance must be accompanied by a doctor’s certificate. Should the person making the booking choose to make a claim against the cancellation insurance, the bookings for all the persons included in the original booking will be cancelled. No refund will be made if the other guests opt to make use of the booking.

The cancellation insurance enables cancellation up to one day prior to the arrival date, no later than 15.00 CET, with a valid certificate dated prior to the arrival date. The insurance premium, together with booking fees is not reimbursable. The booking fee is 25 % of the amount of the booking.

You must be able to present evidence for your cancellation, in the form of a doctor’s certificate, or documentation from authorities or insurance companies. The doctor’s certificate shall state the diagnosis, the date of the first consultation and the reason why the doctor dissuades the person from travelling. Contact with the certifier shall have taken place prior to the start of the journey.

In order to receive a refund, the reason for your cancellation must be unforeseen, unexpected and of such character that you could not, within reason, carry on with the journey. As an example, in case you lack documents pertinent to the journey such as passports, visas or similar, this will not constitute valid reasons for a cancellation.

Cancellation in case of acute illness and /or unforeseen incidents
In case of unforeseen incidents it may be possible to cancel the booking with Igloo Åre outside the cancellation regulations. Please see above.
These unforeseen incidents include:

Cancellation insurance must have been purchased at the point of booking, 350 SEK.

The incidents include: death, severe illness or accident which affects you, your travel companion, husband/wife, cohabitating partner, your parents or your partner’s parents, children or siblings. 

Other severe incidents outside your control include major fire or flooding affecting your home, which means it would be unreasonable for you to complete the journey.

Other information

As we are building the igloos with natural material, out of doors, we are totally dependent on Mother Nature and the conditions she provides. We hope you can oversee with deviations to our plans in terms of schedules and designs. However, if Igloo Åre is unable to offer you overnight stays in igloos, you will immediately be informed thereof and the possibility to cancel the booking and receive full reimbursement or to change your booking to another occasion.

Igloo Åre must inform the guests at the latest one week prior to the arrival date if Igloo Åre is unable to provide overnight igloo stays.

The guest is responsible for:

To observe and obey regulations, and instructions concerning the igloo visit.

Should you have any complaints, please contact the igloo host or our booking service so that we can remedy or sort out any differences during your stay.

Please state when booking if you are suffering from any food allergies or other such pertinent information. Please state clearly any individual requests.

Privacy law (PuL)

By paying for your booking you agree to your personal data being handled by Igloo Experience AB. The purpose of this is to enable normal guest administration. We will take every reasonable step to ensure that your personal information is handled with discretion and safeguarded.

Force Majeure

Force Majeure means the occurrence of any unusual, unforeseeable and unavoidable circumstance outside the control of the Organiser (Igloo Åre), such circumstance materially and adversely affecting the Organiser’s ability to perform its obligations. These events, which the Organiser could not reasonably have expected at the time of accepting a booking or confirming a booking and the effects of which could not have been prevented, avoided or removed include but are not limited to: acts of war, public disorder, civil commotion or strike, authoritarian measures, acts of terrorism, natural force or industrial disasters, fire, severe weather conditions, raised water levels in rivers and flooding, closing of airports and labour market conflicts affecting a third party, technical problems or maintenance problem or unforeseen operational decisions taken by airlines such as changes to the timetable or interrupted IT infrastructure (including but not limited to our web site). Under these circumstances the Organiser shall be excused from performance and not in default in respect of indemnification or any other liabilities.

We reserve the right to make changes

We reserve the right to make changes concerning times, prices, payment and rebate conditions during the validity period of the pricelist. The rates applicable for the next season are always preliminary. Please note that special rates and booking conditions apply to group and special bookings.
